TOPEKA — The Kansas State Board of Education voted this Monday on a controversial change in the state curriculum, effectively doing away with all science classes in the public school system. The recent change will still allow private schools to teach science.
We asked a well known member of the local clergy, “Pastor Bob” to comment on the rule change, and he responded with “this is a great thing for Kansas; this is great. God is great.”
In the official statement, the school board said that “science is based too much on unproven theories, such as evolution and gravity.”
We were unable to find a scientist in Kansas to comment on this decision.
